We are happy to bring back KELMO! for this installment of Balkan Sundays. KELMO! plays traditional/Roma music from Romania and the Balkans. Kelmo! means “Dance!” in Romani. Come dance. The group is lead by Marco Ghezzo on violin and he is backed by the very talented Jonathan Kipp on accordion. Coming all of they way from Joshua Tree, Janie Cowan will be on bass and, coming all of the way from Glen Park (SF), Sean Tergis will be on drums.
We’ll have a few extra special guests for this Balkan Sundays: one being Rumen Shopov on Bulgarian Tambura (and possibly tupan) and the other guest is a surprise. You have to come to find out but I guarantee that you will not be disappointed.
