Come to the 72nd Kolo Festival, this coming Friday + Saturday (Nov 24+25). So much fun to be had with our very own Maria Bebelekova singing and teaching, the wonderful dancer and teacher Anna Angelova teaching Bulgarian dance (coming from the East Coast), and a wonderful Bulgarian bitov band: Dena Bjornle, Hector Bezanis, Bill Cope, Dan Auvil and yours truly (me)! Hristo Kolev will be as always providing the mouth-watering delicious taste of Bulgaria for lunch and dinner. Not to be biased, but it makes me happy there will be a very sweet and solid Bulgarian presence and highlight at the 72nd Kolo Festival. Of course there will be so many more amazing highlights: John Morovich and Sinovi Tamburitza Orchestra will be making us *BOUNCE* to Tamburitza music, while celebrating the 100th year of life of @John Filcič, who will be attending and who founded Kolo Festival in 1951 (yes)! Špaga will be back again with stellar accordionist Andrew Cohen and Marco Ghezzo playing dazzling Romanian/Moldavian/Transylvanian style and accompany the excellent Romanian dancers, performers, and teachers Cristian Florescu and Sonia Dion! Gregory Masaki Jenkins, Jenette Sellin and friends will bring the Greek and Rebetika to the main stage. And LAST BUT NOT LEAST Bill Cope's Orkestar Unbound featuring Dan Auvil, Asaf Ophir, Emily Saletan, and Janie Cowan will be unleashing an unbound fruit-bowl of Balkan genres. Dance sessions will be all day both Friday and Saturday! Oh and Chubritza International Folk Band (Linnea Mandell Craig Kurumada) and many more will be playing in the Kafana for more fun!

Excited!!!!
