Alaturca Connection is a Northern California based Turkish music band formed by San Francisco's widely acclaimed musicians. Each of the members comes from a different ethnical background and brings musical depth and years of experience in playing a broad repertoire of classical, folkloric and contemporary Turkish, Balkan and Romani songs. The sound is a bridge between modern and traditional.
The band performs regularly at community events, weddings, festivals and shows.
They have been an active supporter of social projects. Through their annual signature fundraising event "Gelecege Sarkilar (Songs for the Future)", they work with non-profit organizations and support underprivileged girls' education in Turkiye.
