Join us for an afternoon of joyous klezmer and Romanian music! Featuring new Bay Area klezmer trio Baymele and Moldovan-Canadian virtuosi Duo Moldova, this show will mark the start of Chanukah as we unite, mourn, rejoice, and dance together.

This show will take place at a gorgeous private residence just outside the hustle and bustle of Silicon Valley - iButterflyVilla, 333 Raymundo Drive, Woodside, CA 94062. If you don't have a car and need a ride, keep an eye out for carpool coordination on the Facebook event!

Bay Area klezmer trio Baymele (“little tree” in Yiddish) brings together fiddler Matthew Stein, cellist Misha Khalikulov, and accordionist Dmitri Gaskin. Cultivating and celebrating Ashkenazi Jewish musical identity, their repertoire includes Jewish and co-territorial tunes from Romania, Poland, and Ukraine, Yiddish folk song, Jewish art music, and new compositions and improvisation.

Duo Moldova performs traditional Lautari music from Moldova, Romania, and beyond. Raised in Chisinau, Moldova, accordionist Sergiu Popa and violinist Valy Lautar are some of the best musicians in this tradition.
